Fryderyk Award 2026 Nomination – Album of the Year: Classical-Crossover
Atom String Quartet has been nominated for the Fryderyk Award 2026. The album „Christmas with Atom String Quartet” – the ensemble’s eighth studio record – is among the nominees in the Album of the Year: Classical–Crossover category.
Album was released by Warner Music Poland with sound direction by Michał Bereza. It was inspired by Witold Lutosławski’s masterful carol arrangements.
The Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry (ZPAV) – the organiser of the Fryderyk Awards – has announced the nominations for Poland’s most prestigious music awards for 2025. This year’s edition received a total of 213 submissions.
Album of the Year: Classical-Crossover recognises music that exists at the intersection of different styles and artistic disciplines, with classical music as its dominant element. It is in this category that the Fryderyk Award honours work that transcends genre boundaries.
Alongside Atom String Quartet, the other nominees in this category are: Mateusz Smoczyński – Fallen Angel, Adam Bałdych / Ensemble Peregrina / Michał Górczyński – Laeta Mundus, Sebastian Wypych – Vivaldi / Osiecka – The New 4 Seasons Live (featuring Andrzej Seweryn), and Zygmunt Konieczny – Taki pejzaż.
The winners will be announced at the Fryderyk Festiwal 2026 Classical Music Gala, taking place on 24 April at the Witold Lutosławski National Forum of Music in Wrocław.
