On Friday, March 28, 2025 Atom String Quartet will participate in a special concert titled “For Ptaszyn”. The event will start the celebrations for Trójka’s 63rd birthday. The band will perform at the Agnieszka Osiecka Music Studio of Program 3 Polish Radio, located at Myśliwiecka Street 3/5/7.
During the ceremony, the M5 recording studio will be named after Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski, where the Maestro hosted the famous “Three Quarters of Jazz”. A video broadcast will be available on social media platforms, including Trójka’s Facebook Trójka – Program 3 Polskiego Radia and YouTube channel.
UNIVERSUM nominated for Fryderyk Award in the Jazz Album of the Year Category
The seventh album by Atom String Quartet, released in January 2024, has been nominated for this year’s Fryderyk Awards 2025 in the Jazz Album of the Year category.
Mateusz Smoczyński is also in the running for an award in the Jazz Composer of the Year category.
The winners will be announced during the first-ever Gala of Jazz Music Fryderyk Festival 2025, which will take place on Sunday, March 23, at the Polin Museum in Warsaw. The event will be streamed live on social media, with a rebroadcast available on TVP Kultura.
